Sony's VCT-U14 is probably the second most important piece of equipment in your camera bag - second only to the camera itself. The VCT-U14 allows the full-size, shoulder mount professional camera or camcorder to be attached to a tripod's wedge-plate. The Sony plate has a quick release mechanism that allows for rapid mount or dismounting of the camera from the tripod.
